Explainer: Why Choose India-China? What’s going to happen on LAC?

LAC Military Communication
New Hotlines and Meeting Points at Joshimath and Tawang

India-China LAC Military Communication: The two countries agreed on eight points associated with border management to reduce stress on real control line (LAC) between India and China and establish better dialogue at the military level. The most important decision is to set up two new Military Meeting Points and two new Military Hotline in the Eastern and Central Sector.

Report of Uttarakhand on behalf of India Joshimath And the Tawaang of Arunachal Pradesh can be built a new contact centre. While these cities have not been named in the official joint statement, the defence sources say that the new military communication system can be operated from these locations.

India-China LAC Military Communication: 18 hours later came joint statement

National Security Advisor on August 25 Ajit Dobhal And between China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the 25th meeting of special representatives in Beijing was taken. The two countries issued separate statements after the meeting.

India said that both sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways to increase cooperation and sustain stability. While China explained the talks comprehensive, deep, friendly and clear, and said that India-China relations have a global and strategic significance.

Due to these different statements, it began to take into account that it was not easy to construe sensitive issues such as border disputes. But on August 26 after about 18 hours, both countries issued a similar eight-point joint consensus. It included issues such as border fixation, military dialogue, border trade, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and cooperation on border cross rivers.

It was important that both countries in the language of the joint statement did not use sensitive terms such as "Tibet" or "Shijang".

Instead mention the words like "Calash-Mansarovar Yatra" and "Border Business through Three Passes". The two sides also used Mount and Lake’s Indian and Tibetan names Kailash and Gang Rinpoche, Mansarovar and Measum Taso.

What does "Arly and Substantial Harvest" mean?

“Early and Substantial HarvestThe word was first used in 2024 and 2025. This means to progress in the work of boundary determination and mapping in certain areas before the final resolution of the limit dispute.

This process is being carried out in the scope of the "Polytical Parameters and Guiding Practices" agreement of 2005. The objective is to decide which areas the actual control line (LAC) passes, while the final limit agreement can be done later.

What New decided on the LAC

LAC is not formally fixed international border between India and China. The length of India is about 3,488 km.

LAC is divided into three parts. The Western Sector comes in Ladakh. Central Sector includes Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In the East Sector, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh come.

India and China have agreed to set up two additional senior military meeting centres in the East and Central Sector as per the Joint Consent. Also two new military hotlines will be started.

So far the effective military hotline was mainly limited to the Western sector i.e. Ladakh region. Direct contact between senior military officers will also be possible in sensitive areas such as Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh after the new arrangement.

The advantage of this would be that a petroling party’s face-to-face, misunderstandings on the border or senior officials may be able to interact directly in a local stress situation. It will take less time to confirm events and control the situation. China LAC Military Communication

Why can I choose Joshimath

Joshimath is an important military and logistic centre for the Indian Army in the Middle Sector. The Central Sector is generally considered as relatively quiet as compared to Ladakh or Arunachal Pradesh, but there are different claims and perceptions between the two countries in areas such as Brahotti. This is considered the main basis for access to many sensitive areas of LAC in Uttarakhand.

Ajanda County is located towards China in front of this area. It comes in the Negri Military Sub-District of the Ilaka Tibet region.

The military responsibility of the entire LAC along with India is to the Western Theatre Command, headquartered in Chengdu. There are two major military districts, Tibet Military District and Xinjiang Military District.

(India-China LAC Military Communication)

(India-China LAC Military Communication)

(India-China LAC Military Communication)

(India-China LAC Military Communication)

(India-China LAC Military Communication)

(India-China LAC Military Communication)

(India-China LAC Military Communication)

South Korea started preparing the 6th generation fighter jet, equipped with MUM-T and broadband steelth jet, but why is the engine big challenge?

South Korea 6th Generation Fighter: The new race of fighter jets has begun in the world. While India is developing a 5th generation steel fatter jet through its indigenous AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) programme, South Korea is now preparing to create a 6th generation fighter aircraft directly. South Korea’s Defense Exhibition Program Administration (DAPA) has recently released the tender of conceptual study for the 21 August "Korean Next Generationfighter".

This is a 14-month study programme, with a budget of Rs. 90 crore Korean von i.e. Rs. 6 crore. The purpose of this study is to prepare the operational concept, design, mission capacity and technology roadmap of the future fighter aircraft. South Korea’s Air Force and Defense industries are looking for it as the country’s next large military project.

South Korea 6th Generation Fighter: 6th generation fighter will decide for basic needs

In this study will be decided in accordance with the documents issued on behalf of the DAPA that the future Korean fighter jet will be equipped with what capabilities. Mand-Unmand Teaming in it (MUM-T), Special emphasis has been placed on Artificial Intelligence, Broadband Steelth and New Generation Sensor System.

Short-term, medium-term and long-term plan of baseline configuration, mission effectiveness, operational requirements and technical development will be prepared during the study. The last date for submission of proposals as per media reports is laid around October 2026.

How South Korea’s new fighter jet

South Korea’s Agency for Defence Development (ADD) also introduced a potential design of the 6th generation fighter during the aerospace conference held in Daison in July 2026.

The biggest feature of this design is that the aircraft is based solely on Tailless Steelth design. It shows neither traditional vertical tail nor horizontal tail. Double delta wing and canard configuration have been used in the aircraft. The fuselage and wings have been added in such a way that its identity on the radar becomes extremely difficult.

The length of the plane will be about 16 meters and 11 meters close to Wingspan. There are three internal wenge bays visible below it. Four MBDA Meteor missiles in the middle bay and one Iris-T missile can be placed in both side bays.

Most emphasis on Broadband Steelth

As of now most steelthfighters are mainly designed to avoid X-band radar. But South Korea’s new concept has emphasized the ability to defend from multiple radar spectrums like L-band, S-band and X-band.

It is called broadband steelth. The objective is to make aircraft identification harder not only from a kind of radar but from a variety of monitoring systems. South Korea 6th Generation Fighter

The Mission to Together with AI and Drone

Mand-unmanned teaming has been included as the main need in South Korea’s study. This means that the future fighter jet will not only fly alone missions, but with him many unmanned Combat aircraft and drones will also work.

The pilot will remain in the main plane while the AI based system will assist in controlling multiple drones. This can increase the efficiency of monitoring, electronic warfare and wastage operation in the war zone. South Korea 6th Generation Fighter

The biggest challenge making engine

South Korea has completed the system development of its KF-21 Borame fighter aircraft in 2026 and its early block-1 aircraft are now beginning to join the South Korean Air Force. 4.5 generation of KF-21 Combat Aircraft considered. It fly with the strength of two GE F414 engines. At the moment, the arms are planted on the outer pile of the aircraft, so it is not fully considered the steelth fighter.

South Korea’s largest technical challenge is being considered engine technology. DAPA has demanded two adaptive-cycle engines in its study that can provide supersonic cruise capability. Adaptive-Cycle engine during flight they provide better fuel efficiency in more thrust and second position when needed. However, this technique is in the select countries of the world.

South Korea for its 6th generation fighter F-414 The name is not written, but many defense analysts, seeing the size and engine section of the concept model shown by ADD believe that the F-414 engine can be applied in the initial version.

South Korea is currently developing KTF-16000 engine. This engine is being built for KF-21 program. Its approximate capacity is 16,000 pounds of dry thrust and 24,000 pounds of Afterburner Thrust.

It will not be easy to meet all the needs of the 6th generation aircraft only based on KTF-16000 as per reports. The engine program is being considered the toughest link of the entire project.

KF-21 experience

South Korea’s existing KF-21 Borame program is being considered the foundation of the future project.

KF-21 is a 4.5-generation twin engine fighter aircraft that completed its system development phase in 2026. The starting block-1 version is mainly designed for air-to-air mission.

In the coming years, techniques like ground attack capacity, better steelth, artificial intelligence and mand-unmanned teaming will be added to block-2 and block-3 versions.

South Korea companies are also working on the prospects to convert KF-21 into a 5.5-generation fighter. This experience will be used in the next generation fighter plane. South Korea 6th Generation Fighter

Many large companies involved in the race

South Korea’s major defence companies are in the race for this study program. Agency for Defence Development, Korea Aerospace Industries and Korean Air is being considered as a major contender. DAPA has also allowed joint bids to offer multiple institutes together.

Also companies like LIG Nex1 are working differently on the Internal Weapon Bay and Low-Observable Technology. South Korea 6th Generation Fighter

The next-generation fighters race in the world

South Korea is starting this study at times when many large powers in the world are working on new generation fighter planes.

The U.S. F-47 programmes are already discussed projects such as J-36 and J-50 platform and Gcap of China. China’s few new aircraft flights have reached the test phase, while the US’s F-47 program is also moving rapidly. South Korea 6th Generation Fighter

Draklam-Galvan’s Mastermind General Zhao Jongki died in China, action in the corruption campaign of Xi Jinping, membership cancellation

Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe
Amid Corruption Probe

Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe: The former PLA General Zhao Jongki led China’s Western Theatre Command during the 2017’s Doclam Hazard with India and the Galvan Valley Conflict of 2020. China’s top political advisory institution Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded their membership on August 26. Also, they were also removed from the Standing Committee of CPPCC and the Deputy Director of the Committee of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.

According to Hong Kong’s newspaper Ming Pao and other media reports, Zhao Jongki has come into the grip of anti-corruption campaign running in China’s military. While it has also been claimed that they have been detained under investigation. While the China government has not officially confirmed their arrest or jail sent.

This action has appeared in such a time when the President Xi Jinping Under the leadership of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is running a massive anti-corruption campaign and many senior military officers have been removed from the positions.

Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe: India-China big name associated with border dispute

The name of General Zhao Jingki is linked to two important events in India-China border. In 2017, the Doklam region of Bhutan had a faceoff for 73 days between the forces of India and China. At that time Zhao was the head of the Western Theater command.

Earlier in the year 2020 Galvane

(Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe)

(Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe)

(Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe)

(Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe)

(Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe)

(Zhao Zongqi Corruption Probe)

J-10CE Fighter Jet: Bangladesh is preparing to buy J-10CE multiroll fighter aircraft of China. On August 25, the Prime Minister Tarik Rahman’s advisor Jahed Ur Rahman told that the draft agreement has been prepared for the purchase of J-10CE fighter jets and attack helicopters and is now scheduled to start formal negotiations. Whereas, the bad news has come to China for Pakistan Air Force on J-10CE fighter jets. China has stopped the delivery of 16 additional J-10CE fighters for Pakistan due to the delay in payment.

While no detailed official statement has been issued on behalf of China or Pakistan in this regard, various reports have been stated that this step is linked to the payment terms of the contract. There have been no impact on 20 J-10CE aircraft already found to Pakistan and they have been in active service in Pakistan Air Force.

J-10CE Fighter Jet: What's the whole case?

Pakistan totals 36 from China J-10CE The fighter had compromised buying aircraft. The package also included about 250 PL-15E long distance air-to-air missiles.

In the first phase 20 aircraft have been handed over to Pakistan. The delivery of these aircraft was commenced from 2022. Now the rest of the 16 planes were to be supplied after completion of payment. As per reports, the delivery has not been proceeded due to interruption in the payment.

The initial batch is being reported that finances were mainly carried out through a loan met by Chinese financial institutions. While advance payment contracts had a mandatory condition before delivery of the next batch.

Not more than Panda Bonds

Pakistan has been facing severe economic crisis for the past several years. Countries between 2021 to 2024 struggled with foreign currency crisis, rising debt and import payment problems.

In the year 2024 the situation had become so severe that International Currency Fund (IMF)’s support program played a key role in keeping the economy ticked.

Despite this, foreign exchange reserves have been pressured. Pakistan also tried to raise capital by releasing Panda Bond in the Chinese Bond market, but there remains a need for consistent financial resources for large programs like defence purchases.

Panda bonds are bonds that a foreign government, foreign company or international institution continues to the domestic financial market of China and the money from which is raised in Chinese currency Renminbi (yuan). J-10CE Fighter Jet

Life-Cycle Support Expenses Large Tension

Indeed it is not enough to purchase only airframes in the modern fighter plane. The real cost is on its entire life-cycle support.

J-10CE Such as engine maintenance with modern fighter jets, spare parts of AESA radar, missile support, ground equipment, software updates, pilot training, simulator, technical support and logistic networks are also necessary.

So buying a modern fighter really resembles buying a complete wastage system. The cost of operation and maintenance in many cases can be higher than the original price of the aircraft. J-10CE Fighter Jet

Why is Pakistan important for Air Force J-10CE?

J-10CE is the export version of Chengdu J-10 fighter plane of China. It is seen as the fourth generation advanced multiroll fighter plane.

It has been installed Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar. This Long Distance PL-15E Air-to-air missile can be stained. Also it includes modern electronic warfare systems and advanced sensors.

Pakistan had incorporated these aircraft with the aim of enhancing the modern battle capacity of its air force. These aircraft were also used during India-Pakistan border tension of May 2025.

According to reports, China’s Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) engineers were present in Pakistan for technical support. J-10CE Fighter Jet

Financial pressure rising on the Air Force of Pakistan

In addition to the J-10CE program, Pakistan Air Force has been running several other large modernization programs.

About 150 near PAF JF-17 Combat is the fleet of planes that require frequent upgrades and maintenance. Also 75 to 85 F-16 aircraft are also in service. Foreign maintenance contract for these US aircraft costs a huge amount every year.

At the same time Airborne Early Warring Aircraft, Air Defense Systems, Helicopters, Transport Aircraft and Electronic Warfare Platforms also take a big part of the defence budget.

In such a situation it is not easy to raise additional finance for new fighter aircraft programs. J-10CE Fighter Jet

J-35 Steelthfighter Program Also In Discussion

J-10CE as well as Pakistan has been advancing China’s J-35A Steelthfighter program.

In May 2026 the reports were revealed that Pakistan Air Force had revealed J-35 The program has confirmed the initial cooperation agreement. Pakistan Air Force’s Deputy Chief Tarik Gazi also spoke of the procurement of J-10 Series during the modernization program, including JF-17 upgrades and the next generation fighter aircraft.

The report also claimed that Pakistan is considering buying about 40 J-35A fighter aircraft in the future. While the official confirmation of this entire program is now available at a limited level. J-10CE Fighter Jet

What else is the J-35 deal being explained?

Some of the media reports have stated that the proposed package may include platforms like not only steel fatter but KJ-500 Early Warning Aircraft and HQ-19 Missile Defence systems.

Also services such as pilot training, spare parts, simulator, base infrastructure and technical support have been referring to. J-10CE Fighter Jet

Bangladesh can also become the next foreign customer of J-10CE

Bangladesh is now moving towards purchasing Chinese J-10CE fighter aircraft after Pakistan. On 25th August 2026, Prime Minister Tarik Rahman’s advisor Jahed Ur Rahman reported that a committee of the government has prepared draft agreements for purchasing J-10CE Multirollfighter Jets and Attack Helicopters. It is followed by the preparation of the formal interaction.

Bangladesh Air Force wants to change its old F-7 fighter planes. F-7 is known as the Chinese version of MiG-21 and these aircraft are in service for a long time. Dhaka is considering buying 20 to 24 J-10CE aircraft as per reports.

The cost of the whole package can be about 2.2 billion dollars, according to the first projections. It includes not only aircraft, but also pilot training, spare parts, technical support and maintenance facilities. The procurement process may begin early if the fund is approved in the current financial year. J-10CE Fighter Jet

Fire Point Pakistan Drone Deal: Ukraine’s defense company Fire Point has offered Pakistan’s private defense companies with its long-range lotioning mission i.e. One-way attack drone. The company is trying to deliver its defence system to the military of Pakistan along with exchange of technology and products. While there has not yet been an official confirmation of a large defence deal or mass delivery.

Fire Point Pakistan Drone Deal: Missile and Drone Makes Fire Point

The fire point was established in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine in the year 2022. During the Russia-Ukraine War this company began to be known to develop long-range strike systems with rapid emerging and low cost.

Company Only Loiting Transition Not only makes, but also on guided surface-to-surface missiles and Tactical ballistic missiles. The range of FP-7 missiles of the company is reported about 200 kilometres, while the range of FP-9 missiles under development can be about 855 kilometres. Also the company is working on a ballistic missile interceptor called FP-7.X Freya.

FP-5 Flemingo is developed based on the AI-25TL turbofan engine of the L-39 trainer plane. According to the company, its marching distance can be about 3,000 kms. According to the company it can cost about $6 lakh, which is significantly lower than the US Tomhawk cruise missile. While the range of FP-7 Tactical Ballistic Missile is given about 200 kilometres.

What drone offers to Pakistan

Fire Point pakistan In the main two systems are promoting. These include FP-1 deep strike and FP-2 front strike.

FP-1 Deep Strike is a long-range lotioning mission. Its range is ranged from 1,600 to 2,600 km. The capacity of up to 3,400 kilometres has also been claimed in some new version. It can carry a warhead of about 60 kg and stay in the air for seven hours.

Focus on Technology Transfer

Fire point does not just want to be limited to selling ready drones according to information found from the Open Source Intelligence Network. The company is also interacting with Pakistan’s private defence companies on technology exchange, joint production and potential technology transfer.

The company says that only stratagic death is not quite in the modern war. Rather long-distance cheap and large number of built-in drones can significantly increase the strike potential of a country.

The company believes that Pakistan does not have a huge geographical depth like India, but this reduction can be accomplished largely through modern technology, long-distance drones and perfect military principles.

While Pakistan gets a massive production technology, the ability to protect against electronic warfare and operational experience, its drone power can rise faster.

No big deal confirmation yet

While the drone deal between Pakistan and Ukraine has not been officially confirmed. December 2025 ukraine A senior officer of the clarified that Pakistan has not been sent any Ukrainian military drone. At that time he reported that some letter of the intents were certainly present, but they did not change in a final defence agreement. Fire Point Pakistan Drone Deal

Pakistan is already growing drone network

Pakistan is constantly working on increasing its drone capacity over the past few years. He is not only dependent on Ukraine.

Pakistan has acquired a number of systems like Bayaktaker TB-2, Akinji and FPV Kamikaje Drone from Turkey. Also China is providing various drones and air defense systems.

In July 2026, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaj Sharif said that about 60 percent of drones used in the country are now being built locally. Many private companies are engaged in developing engines, airframes and other important systems.

Pakistan has incorporated drone capacity into national priority areas after May 2025’s operation shifter. Fire Point Pakistan Drone Deal

Pakistan also gave weapons

Several international media reports during 2022 and 2023 were claimed that Pakistan Ordnance Factory made 155 mm cannon shells and 122 mm rocket reached Ukraine through western countries. It was reported that the U.S. defense companies had purchased these ammunition and were later sent to help Ukraine.

According to these reports, the supply of arms was not directly transported from Pakistan to Ukraine, but through countries such as UK, Poland, Germany and Romania. In some photographs and videos, claims were also taken to appear ammunitions made in Pakistan near the Ukrainian army. Fire Point Pakistan Drone Deal

Technical edge found from war experience

Russia-Ukraine War has completely changed the concept of the drone war. Low-cost looteringmunition and FPV drone have played new roles in traditional military campaigns.

Ukrainian manufacturers such as fire point have had the opportunity to test their systems in real battle conditions. That’s why their products include electronic warfare succistent, long-distance navigation capability and mass production experience.

During the war Ukraine has used such drones for deep strikes. Based on this experience, the company is now trying to increase its presence in the international market. Fire Point Pakistan Drone Deal

What is important for India?

Anxiety for India is not limited to only the purchase of drones. The more important aspect is production technology, navigation system, electronic warfare resilients and large-scale transfer of manufacturing.

Because if Pakistan’s hands seem to be the technology of creating cheap long-range drones, its strike potential may lead to a significant increase. The Indian Army Counters are equally focusing on UAS systems, interceptor drones, radar networks, and electronic jamming capabilities. Fire Point Pakistan Drone Deal

Rajnath Singh’s big decision: Now private companies will get DRDO’s all-conventional missile technology, opens new opportunities

DRDO Missile Technology Transfer

DRDO Missile Technology Transfer: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the technology of all conventional missile systems developed by DRDO on Tuesday. After this decision, not only government companies, but also private defence companies and MSMEs will play a huge role in the process of missile manufacturing.

As per the Ministry of Defence, this decision has been taken for the purpose of speeding up self-sufficient India and indigenous defence production. The technology developed in the laboratories of DRDO will directly reach the industry and the missiles will be produced in India.

DRDO Missile Technology Transfer: Old Arrangement Over Missile Construction

Over the years DRDO The responsibility of producing most of the missile projects was primarily held by India Dynamics Limited (BDL) and in some cases, India Electronics Limited (BEL). DRDO developed technology and large part of production handled public sector companies.

Now, the Ministry of Defence has made great changes in this model. DRDO’s 10 to 12 major Tactical Missile projects are being divided into public and private companies based on their capacity. It aims to increase production efficiency and broaden the defense industry.

The move is also being considered to suit the needs of the proposed Defense Exhibition Provider (DAP) 2026, which has been emphasised on increasing the participation of the private sector.

What are Tactical Missiles?

Tactical Missiles There are guided missiles that are used for precise attack within a limited distance in the war zone. They are used to target enemy military bases, radars, air defense systems, armored vehicles, warships and other important military targets.

These missiles differ from strategic missiles. Strategic Missiles are designed to attack large targets by going long distances, while Tactical Missiles are used for quick and precise action in the battle area.

What does Rajnath Singh’s approval mean?

The technology of all Conventional Missile Systems developed by DRDO will be transferred to Indian industries after the approval of Defence Minister. This technique to industries will be given after prescribed qualifications, security clearances, licenses and certification procedures.

The entire cycle from missile development to production will be completed in India. Ministry of Defence says it will strengthen domestic manufacturing capacity, reduce import dependence and promote Indian supply chain.

Which companies have a chance to find?

DRDO Development-Low-Production Partner (DcPP) has included many private companies under the model. These include companies such as Adani Defence and Aerospace, India Forge, ICOM and Solar Defence and Aerospace.

The project is being built under the Project Shivalik of BRO and aims to strengthen future military needs, drone operations and air mobility capabilities.

Let’s tell that Defence News first on February 15 this year First Drone Airbase in Meerut Information about making.

India First Drone Runway: Rs 371.15 crore will be made up of the project

BRO The project’s estimated cost of Rs 371.15 crore has been laid as per RFP issued on behalf of. Earlier the tender of Rs 406 crore was released for the same project. The Director General (North-West) has released new tenders with revised costs after subsequent change of the process.

After the tender process is completed, the selected agency will be given seven months to prepare detailed project reports i.e. DPR.

1,690 km long will runway

45 metres wide and at least 1,690 m long runway will be made under the project. The taxiway (where the aircraft reach the runway) and the apron (where the aircraft stand) will be developed.

Modern runway lighting system will be applied for safe flight operation at night and bad weather on runway. Also there will be an approach lighting facility like PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator), which helps pilots maintain the right direction and height during landing.

Runway as well as two large hangers will be created. The width of each hanger will be about 60m and length 50m. These hangers will be used to protect, maintain and technical functions of drones, UAVs and other aerial platforms. Also modern firefighting and fire alarm systems will be installed for security.

Apart from runways and hangers, taxi tracks, operational areas, technical support facilities and other aviation infrastructure will also be prepared.

C-295 and C-130 will also be able to operation

One of the most important features of this project is that not only the drones here, but also the transport aircraft of Indian Air Force. Runway is being designed such as large transport aircraft of Indian Air Force C-295 And C-130 can also fly and descend from here. This runway can also be used as a military logistics and air support hub in the future.

C-295 is a modern tactical transport aircraft, which is incorporated in the place of the Indian Air Force old AN-32 and Avro aircraft. While C-130J Super Hercules is used for special campaigns, deployment of troops, transportation of military equipment and emergency missions.

Not in tool SIM or E-SIM slot

Any equipment used on the side of the company must not have SIM or E-SIM slot. At the same time, no communication module can be applied to any country sharing the ground border of India and provides external mobile or network connectivity.

The electronic control unit (ECU) or control unit engaged in the equipment should not be of any country that shares the land border with India. This condition will apply to both original equipment and subsequently imposed spares.

Such multi-GNSS chips can not be used in the telematics system or hardware that supports GPS and GLONASS as well as China's Beidou Navigation System.

Also the equipment should have no facility like unauthorized remote access, remote control or remote closure.

Strong preparation on the western front

The country’s first dedicated drone and UAV runway being built in Meerut is being considered an important project towards monitoring India on the Western front and strengthening military preparations. During the operation shifts in May 2025, the utility of drone based surveillance and campaigns was also revealed.

This runway mainly formed in the Meerut Cantt. High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) being built for remotely piloted aircraft and large drone operations of the range. Modern ICO CAT-2 lighting systems and advanced navigation facilities will be installed on runway. This will allow safe flight operations in case of bad weather, mist or low visibility.

The approximate capacity of this centre will be to operate about 1,500 drone missions every year. On average, four drone flights will be operated here.

This runway of Meerut is being developed as an important hub for real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconstance (ISR) activities of Pakistan border and other sensitive areas. The High Altitude Long Endurance Drones that operate here will be able to monitor the Western border areas including Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu Sector by staying in the air for a long time and the information required will be accessible to security agencies.

The Centre will also create training and testing activities

The facilities can also be developed for activities like drone pilot training, mission planning, technical testing and operational assessment in the proposed Aviation Infrastructure.

The operation of the remotely piloted aircraft system requires special training. In such a this centre can also play an important role as training venue for military personnel. Also facilities can be provided for testing new drone platform, sensors and techniques.

Disaster Management can also help

This project can also be useful in campaigns associated with disaster management. Relieving material, medical equipment and rescue crews can be delivered to increasingly affected areas due to the ability of large runway and transport aircraft operations.

The selected company must experience aviation infrastructure construction as per the conditions involved in the tender. Technical capacity associated with large airfield, runway and hangar construction has also been included in the eligibility criteria.

Explained: Big bets of America against China? Why is US Navy’s new missile AIM-424 Malice special?

AIM-424 Malice Missile
What Is The US Navy's AIM-424 Malice Missile And Why Does Its 465 km Range Matter?

AIM-424 Malice Missile: US Navy has revealed a new air-to-air missile AIM-424 "Malice" (Malice). This missile can target the aerial targets from 250 nautical miles i.e. 463 to 465 kms. This distance is significantly higher than existing American AIM-120 AMRAAM and many other air-to-air missiles.

US Navy Publiced the information of this missile for the first time during the Telhook Association Convention held in Reno City of Nevada in August 2026. The photographs released along with the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter aircraft appeared on the AIM-424 missiles. In another picture it was also seen in the Internal Weapon Bay of the F-35C Stealthfighter.

What is AIM-424 Malice Missile?

AIM-424 Malis is a new generation long range air-to-air missile. The U.S. Navy also says Long Range Air-to-Air Missile (LRAAM). It has been done by US Defence Company Rethion, a subsidiary of RTX Corporation.

This missile is built to kill enemy aircraft from a very long distance. According to the US Navy, its main objective is to strengthen the safety of the fleet and maintain the air edge against advanced threats. (AIM-424 Malice Missile)

How much is the killing capacity of the missile?

The range of AIM-424 is over 250 nautical miles as per the technical details issued by the US Navy. It is equal to about 463 kms or 465 kms.

The missile length is 13.5 feet i.e. around 4.11 meters. Its diameter is 13.5 inch and wingspan 26.2 inch. The total weight of it is about 1500 pounds i.e. 680 kg.

Compare AIM-120 The weight of AMRAAM is significantly lower than this. The weight of AIM-424 is about three times higher. Overweight and two-stage design is being considered its long distance and high speed base.

Enhanced capacity from two-stage design

AIM-424 is a two-stage missile according to reports. It has been used solid propelent rocket motor.

The first stage gives the missile a sharp speed and height, while the second stage pushes him to a long distance towards the target. The same design it traditional Air-to-Air Missiles Gives the ability to distance more than. While this helps the missile maintain sufficient energy at a very long distance. (AIM-424 Malice Missile)

Which aircraft can be stained?

AIM-424 is designed for fourth, fifth and sixth generation fighter planes.

According to the US Navy it will be deployed on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, F-35C Joint Strikefighter and future F/A-XX Next Generation naval fighter aircraft.

Interestingly, its size has been placed that it can fit into F-35C’s Internal Weapon Bay as well. This does not affect the stalth capacity and the aircraft can complete the mission hidden from the enemy radar.

Why do US need so long-distance missiles?

China has rapidly enhanced its long-distance air-to-air missile capabilities in recent years. The U.S. Department of Defense had long wanted to develop a missile that targets the enemy’s aircraft very far.

Avox aircraft, air tanker, command and control aircraft and other high-value support platforms will be key targets in the future war. Such aircraft do not fight directly, but operate the entire aerial mission.

(AIM-424 Malice Missile)

(AIM-424 Malice Missile)

(AIM-424 Malice Missile)

(AIM-424 Malice Missile)
