LCA Tejas vs JF-17One of the largest aviation events in the world, Dubai Airshow will appear on the same platform in 2025. Indian Air Force’s indigenous LCA Tejas and Pakistani Air Force’s JF-17 Thunder will face in Dubai. This is the second chance that both fighter jets will participate in the same airshow. Earlier this happened in 2023.

Airshow is being held at Al Makloom International Airport from 17 to 21 November. The program has more than 100 countries of airforce, more than 1,500 agbiters and more than 200 aircraft.
Indian Air Force preparations are stronger than this time. Air Force has sent three fast fighter jets in Dubai, which will participate in both static and flying displays. India’s well-known Sunray Arobatic team has also reached. This team is famous for showing spectacular air tartab on Hawk MK-132 trainer jets. Support staff and equipment have been transported Dubai from C-17 Globemaster and C-130J Super Hercules Aircraft.

Tejas is India’s indigenous aircraft. Its design is lightweight, the leverage is excellent and has a modern avionics. The MK-1A version of Tejas includes AESA Radar, Astra BVR Missile, and Advance Electronic Warfare System. It is the aircraft of 4.5-generation. Compared to 2023 this time, Tejas’ Flying Performance and Advance technology will get a huge improvement to see, as Tejas Mark1A has completed several significant upgrades over the past year.
While JF-17 Thunder on behalf of Pakistan is participating in this airshow. It is believed that Pakistan will present its new block-III version this time. JF-17 has been jointly developed by Pakistan and China. It has KLJ-7A AESA radar and Russian RD-93 engine installed. Pakistan is trying to export it to many countries.
Arrival of Tejas and JF-17 in Dubai Airshow is therefore also important as both aircraft are competitive in the international market. Countries like Argentina, Egypt, Malaysia and Nigeria have shown their interest in both. This airshow will give a chance to see both aircraft’s actual capacity and flying performances in one place.
India’s Defence Minister Sanjay Seth is leading the Indian delegation in this airshow. They will meet the leaders of the UAE and preside over a large industry round table, with companies from India, UAE, America, Australia, Brazil and Europe. It aims to enhance cooperation in defence technology and manufacturing in India.

India also has a large India Pavilion in Dubai Airshow, where HAL, DRDOCompanies like Coral Technologies, Dental Hydraulics, Image Synergy and SFO Technologies are offering their products. India’s 19 private companies such as India Forge, Brahmaos Aerospace and Tech Mahindra are set up their stalls separately. India’s 15 startups are also participating in this airshow for the first time.
This airshow also gets importance in the aviation world as large aircraft like Russoi-57, U.S. F-16, B-52, and Boeing 777X.
