Indian Army Air Defence Training: Today the role of drones, swarm drones, cruise missiles, smart bombs and heat caking weapons in Battlefield is constantly increasing. The Air Defense Units of the Indian Army dealing with the ground in such threats need the same level of training as they can get during the real war.
The Army Air Defence Directorate General of Indian Army has released three separate requests for information i.e. RFI. These include Multirotor Copper Based Basic Target System, Swarm Drone Based Basic Target System and Intermediate Target System Rocket.
Indian Army no longer wants to keep air defense training limited to traditional targets. The training structure is being prepared to be shielded at the same level, taking into account the drone, selfarm and heat signature based threats in the changing battlefield, so that the soldiers can experience closest to the actual conditions during practice.
Indian Army Air Defence Training: Why Changing Air Defense Training
Military campaigns around the world have proved that only large fighter jets are not threatened. Small drones have now been able to monitor, target determination and attack directly. Many countries have developed the Swarm drone technology, with dozens of drones can attack together in a cornidated way.
As per the documents issued by the Army Air Defense Units have become necessary to prepare for combating new threats like the fourth and fifth generation aircraft as well as cruise missiles and unmanaged aerial systems. That is why the need for such a target system has been felt that can behave like a real enemy and give the troops a practical experience. Indian Army Air Defence Training
MULTIROTOR COPPER WILL BE STARGATE
First System Multirotor Copper is the base target system. The main objective is to provide targets that appear like slow blowing helicopters or small drones.
This system will be fully modular, i.e. it can be quickly added to the spot by moving it to different parts. It will have vertical take-off and landing capacity. This means that it will not need runway and it will rise above the ground directly.
The system will also include ground control station and radio data link. At least two aerial targets can be controlled from the same control station. This will make a variety of situations together during training.
The Army wants different types of payloads to be installed on this platform. These will include radar cross section enhancing equipment, making the target radar screen look more pronounced. In addition, the infrared signal enhancer system will also be able to identify the heat-seaking missile target.
Special emphasis on speed and flight capacity
The Army has set several technical standards for this system. No extra Payload Its maximum speed should be at least 30 meters per second. It has also been fixed on different speeds to ensure long-term practice.
Operational range is demanded to keep 15 kms or more. Also it should be able to work in areas with height. The army wants it to be operated at a height of 4200 m or more from the sea level.
Such a capacity proves to be useful especially in the Ladakh and other mountainous areas, where the performance of the general drone can be affected. Indian Army Air Defence Training
New kind of training will be from Sword Drone
Second RFI Swarm Drone connected to the target system. Many drones in the selfarm technique work as a group and complete the mission by chordinate with each other.
There will be a set of 12 drones in the system that the army is looking for. All these drones will be flying in an Autonomous manner and operate in the group. Each drone will have vertical take off and landing capacity.
Through the ground control station, the entire selfarm will be programmed. The operator will be able to set the flight route in advance and the drone will work accordingly.
Such targets prepare challenging positions for air defenses as multiple targets appear together. This gives the young people the experience of making decisions in real war situations.
The mission is also released on the command link breakdown
An interesting feature of the Swarm system is its safety system. If the control link is broken for some reason, the drones can move on to the prescribed route automatically.
The drones in the first mode will continue the flight according to the pre-fixed wapoint and then return to the scheduled landing area. In the second mode they will start the return to home process directly.
(Indian Army Air Defence Training)
(Indian Army Air Defence Training)
(Indian Army Air Defence Training)
(Indian Army Air Defence Training)
(Indian Army Air Defence Training)
(Indian Army Air Defence Training)
