Retired General told the incident "intentional attack" and said that it caused damage to his car and threatened his and his wife’s life. In response to this post, Punjab Police Director General Gaurav Yadav immediately responded and apologized. He wrote, "We express deep sorry for the trouble that you and your wife had caused this unfortunate event. If this happened, it is completely wrong and is against Punjab Police’s Professional Values. ""
DGP Yadav reported that he spoke to the Special DGP traffic AS opinion and ordered to identify vehicles and related personnel. "Please be confident that this case is being taken seriously and appropriate action will be taken against responsible people. ""

पंजाब पुलिस ने कहा कि वीआईपी सुरक्षा एक बड़ी जिम्मेदारी है, जिसमें सुरक्षा के साथ-साथ आम लोगों की सुरक्षा और सम्मान भी उतना ही जरूरी है। इसलिए मजबूत सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के साथ नागरिकों के प्रति सम्मानजनक व्यवहार अनिवार्य है।
पुलिस मुख्यालय से सभी जिलों को तुरंत लागू करने के लिए नए निर्देश जारी किए गए हैं। इनमें गैर-आपातकालीन स्थिति में ट्रैफिक नियमों का कड़ाई से पालन करना, सड़क पर आम लोगों को कम से कम परेशानी देना और पूरे सफर के दौरान पेशेवर तथा शालीन व्यवहार बनाए रखना शामिल है। एस्कॉर्ट टीम को हर परिस्थिति में धैर्य और संयम रखने को कहा गया है।
साथ ही सभी जिलों को 48 घंटों के भीतर एस्कॉर्ट, पायलट और ट्रैफिक स्टाफ की अनिवार्य ब्रीफिंग करने के आदेश दिए गए हैं। पंजाब पुलिस ने कहा कि उनका उद्देश्य सभी नागरिकों की सुरक्षा करना और जनता का विश्वास बनाए रखना है।
