Dhruv choppers: Indigenous advanced light helicopters (ALHs) and its armored versions are pavilion of uncertainty when taken part of Rudra. Recently on January 5, an ALH of the Coast Guard in the Porter of Gujarat crashed, after which the Army and other forces had stopped the flight of their entire ALH fleet until the probe was completed.
In this accident, two pilots and an air crew were killed, after which there were severe questions about the flying safety of these helicopters. As per the authorities, the accident causes continue to be investigated, and the debris of the crashed helicopter for detailed analysis is being sent to Bengaluru-based Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
Dhruv Choppers: Army Day Not Showing In Parade ALH
ALH helicopters were not included in the Army Day Parade held in Pune on Wednesday. The Army Day is a grand formal ceremony similar to the Parade Republic Day. It also took part by Chetak and Cheetah Helicopters, but showing ALH missing. In this event, the Chief General Dyendra Dwivedi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also existed.
The three forces and shore guard forces have about 330 ALH overall, while the army and the air force have more than 90 Rudra helicopters. While Coast Guard has 19 helicopters. Border security forces and other civil agencies also use ALH. All this helicopters have been erected for a local inspection and flight safety check.

उस समय जांच का फोकस मुख्य ड्राइव शाफ्ट, टेल रोटर असेंबली और अन्य महत्वपूर्ण उपकरणों की स्ट्रक्चरल सेफ्टी पर था। सेना ने 2023 में भी अपने ध्रुव हेलीकॉप्टरों को भी रोककर व्यापक जांच की थी, जिसमें बूस्टर कंट्रोल रॉड्स की डिजाइन की भी समीक्षा की गई थी।

2023 में एएलएच हेलीकॉप्टरों के कमियों को दूर करने और उनमें सुधार के लिए एचएएल ने बड़ी पहल की थी। सभी एएलएच हेलीकॉप्टरों पर पुराने एल्युमिनियम बूस्टर कंट्रोल रॉड्स को स्टील रॉड्स से बदल दिया गया था। ये रॉड्स हेलीकॉप्टर की स्पीड को कंट्रोल करने में पायलटों की मदद करते हैं। रॉड्स की विफलता गंभीर दुर्घटनाओं का कारण बन सकती है।
बेंगलुरु स्थित सेंटर फॉर मिलिट्री एयरवर्थनेस एंड सर्टिफिकेशन (CEMILAC) ने अप्रैल 2023 में एएलएच हेलीकॉप्टरों की डिजाइन समीक्षा का आदेश दिया था। इसके तहत बूस्टर कंट्रोल रॉड्स की मजबूती बढ़ाने के लिए सुधार किए गए।
पोरबंदर दुर्घटना के बाद एचएएल ने हेलीकॉप्टर के ट्रांसमिशन सिस्टम, गियरबॉक्स, और रोटर हब सहित अन्य उपकरणों की व्यापक जांच शुरू की है। इसमें दो सप्ताह से अधिक समय लग सकता है। यदि कोई समस्या पाई जाती है, तो सुधारात्मक कदम उठाने में अतिरिक्त समय लग सकता है।
गणतंत्र दिवस फ्लाईपास्ट में में तीनों सेनाओं और तटरक्षक बल के हेलीकॉप्टर हिस्सा लेते हैं, लेकिन इस बार इस पर असर पड़ सकता है। फिलहाल, गणतंत्र दिवस परेड में ध्रुव हेलीकॉप्टरों के हिस्सा लेने को लेकर सभी ने चुप्पी साध रखी है। कहा जा रहा है कि उनकी जगह अन्य हेलीकॉप्टर तैनात किए जा सकते हैं। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि इस साल गणतंत्र दिवस के फ्लाईपास्ट में तीनों सेनाओं के हेलिकॉप्टरों के साथ तीन तट रक्षक ALH को भी हिस्सा लेना था।
एएलएच हेलीकॉप्टर को बेंगलुरु स्थित हिंदुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड (एचएएल) ने डिजाइन किया है। लेकिन हाल की घटनाओं ने इसकी उड़ान सुरक्षा पर सवाल खड़े किए हैं। सेना प्रमुख ने कहा है कि एविएशन सिक्योरिटी सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है। जब तक सभी जांच पूरी नहीं हो जातीं, तब तक इन हेलीकॉप्टरों की उड़ान पर रोक बनी रहेगी।
