Operation Sindoor Anniversary: The former Director General of Military Operations of Indian Army during the special press conference held in Jaipur on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, i.e. DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghee told it the "Destructive Turn" of India’s strategic journey. He said it was not just a military action, but a major change in India’s policy and thinking against terrorism.
Launched on 7th May 2025 Operation Shifter India had executed in response to the Initiative’s terror attack. 26 people were killed in that attack. The Indian Army, Air Force, and other security agencies, followed by action on terrorist bases present in Pakistan and Pakistan authorized Kashmir.
Former DGMO Rajiv Ghee in the event held in Jaipur on the first anniversary of the operation shared several important things associated with the entire operation.
Operation Sindoor Anniversary: "It was not just operation, strategic change"
While addressing the press conference, Lt. General Rajiv Ghee said that the operation shifted from India’s old strategy to new direction.
He said, "The operation shifter was executed just a year ago. At that time I was on the post of DGMO. It was not just a military operation, but a decisive moment of India’s strategic journey. ""
He said India targets terror bases by going across a very thought-out control line and international border during this action.
According to Rajiv Ghai, the message was clean that India will no longer adopt a defensive attitude, but will take action by reaching the source of terrorism.
Operations Started After The Initiative’s Attack
22 April 2025 of Jammu and Kashmir Initiatives Terrorists attacked tourists in the Basron Valley of the Terrain. The attack had killed 26 people while many were injured.
The whole country was angry after the event. The Central Government has taken several round meetings with security agencies and top officers of the Army.
After this, the night operation of 7 May 2025 was initiated. Indian Army and Air Force together attacked terrorist launch pads, training centers and bases present in Pakistan and POK.
The nine big terrors were created
A total of nine large panic bases were targeted during operation shifts. These included camps associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jash-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahidin.
As per Indian security agencies, more than 100 terrorists were killed in this action.
According to the military formulas, the operation was completed in extremely short time, but its preparation was running for several days.

"Operation shift end was no, beginning"
During the press conference, Rajiv Ghee said that the operation shifter would be wrong to understand the response of an event.
"It’s not my motive to stand out as a sir. I’m trying to change the appearance. ""
He further said, "The operation was not the far end. It was just the beginning. India’s fight against terrorism will continue. ""
The Government has given the Army a complete discount
Rajiv Gai said that the government had given clear political and military objectives to the military during operation. He said that the entire operational freedom was given to the army to plan and carry out the operation.
"The government had instructed us clean. The goal was clear- eliminating the terror framework, weakening their ability to plan and prevent future attacks. "He took full care of accuracy, balance and responsibility during the action.
Pakistan Replies
After the operation shifter, the response from Pakistan was also found. Pakistan had initiated the drone attack and ammunition on the border. Thereafter, there remained a stressful situation for about four days between the two countries.
The Indian Army had targeted several radar systems and military bases of Pakistan while taking retaliation.
According to the defence formulas, the radar facilities present to Lahore and Passaval had heavily damaged.
Four-day stress
The military tension began from May 7 continued until May 10. During this period, constant monitoring, air defense activity and military preparations were increased.
Both Indian Air Force and Army were on high alerts. Additional security forces were also deployed in many areas.
The situation changes when Pakistan’s DGMO contacted Indian DGMO. After the interaction between the military officers of both the countries agreed on the ceasefire on May 10.
Operation also shows the need for jointness
He says the operation shifter further clarified the importance of rapport between the Army, Air Force and other agencies. That is why now Indian forces are working fast on systems like joint operations, data sharing, and theatre commands.

राजीव घई ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि भारत हमेशा जिम्मेदारी के साथ कार्रवाई करता है। उन्होंने कहा, “भारत अपनी संप्रभुता, सुरक्षा और अपने नागरिकों की रक्षा पूरी दृढ़ता, पेशेवर तरीके और जिम्मेदारी के साथ करेगा।”
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि ऑपरेशन सिंदूर का उद्देश्य सिर्फ सैन्य जवाब देना नहीं था, बल्कि यह दिखाना भी था कि भारत आतंकवाद को लेकर अपनी नीति पर पूरी तरह स्पष्ट है।
