Matsya 6000 Submersible: India International Science Festival (IISF) has been introduced to 6000 submersibles of the country’s first indigenous humanized deep-se submersible fisheries in 2025. This submersible can go up to a depth of 6,000 meters inside the sea and three people can sit in it.
This is part of the Submarine Ocean Project, formulated by National Institute of Ocean Technology. Its titanium hull is extremely strong and can bear 600 times heavy pressure within the sea.
In addition, India has now joined select countries that have a deep-sea humanized technology. Earlier this capacity was only near America, UK, Russia, China, Italy, Switzerland and Denmark.
The main purpose of the fishery 6000 submersible is to study the sea level. Former Naval Officer P.R. Shrikant pointed out that it will serve the oil, mineral and marine life spread under the surface of the submarine sea. According to them, the submarine has high-resolution cameras and sonars, which will record the data of the sea level.
