Porsche 911 at Bumla Pass: Bumla Pass, located on the India-China border, at a height of more than 15,200 feet from the sea level, recently witnessed a unique and exciting nesting. Bumla Pass is located on India-China real control line (LAC) in Twang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian and Chinese soldiers stand out in the eye on the Bumla Pass witnessing the India-China war of 1962. Recently, it took the echo from the sounds of luxury sports cars like Ilaka Porsche 911. Sports cars in Boomla reached there where Chinese army posts are. The Chinese army also became surprised by watching these expensive sports cars near its border checkpoints.

Porsche 911 at Bumla Pass: Bumla Pass must for special permits

Bumla Pass is located on the India-China border in Twang District of Arunachal Pradesh. This location is known for its natural beauty and strategic importance. It is at a height of about 15,200 feet (4,572 m) from the Darra sea level and is 37 kms from Twang city. On the other hand, it is 43 kilometres away from the Tasona Dong city of Tasona County, China. This is under the control of the Indian Army and needs special permits to come here, which can be easily received from the hotels staying in Twang.

India-China War of 1962 witnessed Bumla Pass

It came to discuss during the Indian-China war of Darra 1962, when the battle of Bumla was fought here. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) attacked India in this war, and the Bumla had one of the major places where the Bhishan war had occurred. After the war this area has been closed for long-term business and traffic. However, in 2006, 44 years later, Bumla Pass was reopened for business. Today it serves as a trading point between Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet. In addition, Bumla has one of the five official Border Personal Meeting (BPM) points for regular consultation and interaction between Indian Army and Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

Recently Auto Journalist Sirish Chandran (@SirishChandran) shared the experience in his social media post, in which he reported how he reached the India-China border while driving Porsche 911 on 12 April 2025. Sirish Chandran reported in his social media post that due to the new roads can now be easily reached to Bumla Pass. "This credit goes to the new policy, under which good roads have been created to the extent, to facilitate military logistics and promote border tourism. "In their post also mentioned that trans-arunachal highway, especially the way from the stalk to the descent, is perfect for sports cars. The participants of the adventure driving will get a sharp turn on the paths, the views of the Siang River, and the magnificent roads.

Sports Cars See Chinese Soldiers

अपनी पोस्ट में साझा की गई तस्वीरों में वह बुमला पास पर खड़े नजर आ रहे हैं, और उनके पीछे चीनी सैनिक हैरानी से उनकी स्पोर्ट्स कारों को देख रहे हैं। सिरिश ने लिखा, “बुमला में चीनी सैनिकों को देखते हुए, जो विश्वास नहीं कर पा रहे कि वे क्या देख रहे हैं! भारत की ओर से स्पोर्ट्स कारें सीधे भारत-चीन सीमा तक पहुंच गईं।” उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि ट्रांस-अरुणाचल हाईवे के पूरा होते ही सरकार ने हिमालय की सीमा के साथ एक नई सड़क का टेंडर भी पूरा कर लिया है, जो भविष्य में और भी रोमांचक ड्राइविंग अनुभव प्रदान करेगी।

रिटायर्ड मेजर जनरल ने जताई खुशी

वहीं, 2003 से 2005 तक बुमला में अपनी यूनिट की कमान संभाल चुके मेजर जनरल (रिटायर्ड) राजू चौहान ने बुमला तक स्पोर्ट्स कारें पहुंचने पर खुशी जताई है। उन्होंने बताया, “एक वक्त था जब हमारे 4×4 वाहनों को भी बुमला तक पहुंचने में काफी मुश्किल होती थी। आज बुमला में पोर्श को देखना और सेला टनल का निर्माण देखना वाकई शानदार है। अविश्वसनीय भारत!”

Porsche 911 at Bumla Pass: पर्यटन को मिल रहा बढ़ावा

बुमला पास अब केवल एक सामरिक स्थल नहीं है, बल्कि यह पर्यटन के नक्शे पर भी अपनी जगह बना रहा है। भारत सरकार की ‘भारत रणभूमि दर्शन’ पहल के तहत, सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में 77 युद्ध स्मारकों को पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में विकसित किया जा रहा है, जिनमें बुमला पास भी शामिल है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य सीमा पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देना, देशभक्ति की भावना को प्रोत्साहित करना, और स्थानीय अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूत करना है।
