Confrontation between security forces and protestors
As per the local reports, the protestors and security forces were also swirl in some places. Tear gas shells left to prevent groups moving towards Ravalot.
The use of pellets and pallet guns has also been claimed in some reports. While different claims are being made by the number of injured and affected people in different sources. So it is not possible to independently confirm these data.

What are the main demands of protestors?
The biggest cause of movement is being considered economic issues. Exhibitors are resent about the prices of long-term electricity, food grains and other essential items.
People associated with movement say that many hydroelectric projects exist in the POK area. They argue that when power generation is happening in the local area, people should get electricity at affordable rates.
Similarly, there is resentment in people about the increasing prices of essential items like flour, rice and lentils. Exhibitors are seeking relief and subsidy on these items.
As per the sources, agitators have laid a total of 38 demands, including both economic and political issues.
Controversy about 12 seats of assembly
प्रदर्शनकारियों की प्रमुख राजनीतिक मांगों में पीओके विधानसभा की 12 आरक्षित सीटों का मुद्दा भी शामिल है।
इन सीटों को उन लोगों के लिए आरक्षित रखा गया है जिन्हें पाकिस्तान अधिकृत कश्मीर से बाहर रहने वाले शरणार्थी समुदाय का प्रतिनिधि माना जाता है।
आंदोलन से जुड़े समूहों का कहना है कि जो लोग पीओके में रहते ही नहीं हैं, उन्हें वहां की विधानसभा में प्रतिनिधित्व क्यों दिया जाता है। इसी कारण इन सीटों को समाप्त करने की मांग की जा रही है।

पिछले आंदोलन से जुड़ा है मौजूदा विरोध
वर्तमान प्रदर्शन को पिछले वर्ष हुए आंदोलन की अगली कड़ी माना जा रहा है। स्थानीय सूत्रों के अनुसार अक्टूबर 2025 में भी बड़े स्तर पर प्रदर्शन हुए थे। उस समय भी लोगों ने महंगाई, बिजली दरों और राजनीतिक अधिकारों को लेकर आवाज उठाई थी।
उस दौरान सरकार और आंदोलनकारियों के बीच बातचीत भी हुई थी। कई मांगों पर सहमति बनने की खबरें सामने आई थीं, लेकिन आंदोलनकारी समूहों का आरोप है कि उन वादों का पूरी तरह पालन नहीं हुआ।

जॉइंट अवामी एक्शन कमेटी की अहम भूमिका
इस आंदोलन के केंद्र में जॉइंट अवामी एक्शन कमेटी (जेएएसी) नाम का संगठन बताया जा रहा है। यह संगठन पिछले कुछ वर्षों से विभिन्न आर्थिक और सामाजिक मुद्दों पर अभियान चलाता रहा है। आंदोलन के आयोजकों का कहना है कि उनका उद्देश्य आम लोगों की समस्याओं को सामने लाना है।
दूसरी ओर प्रशासन ने कुछ मामलों में इस संगठन की गतिविधियों पर आपत्ति जताई है। इसी को लेकर हाल के दिनों में तनाव और बढ़ गया।

पलंदरी में प्रदर्शनकारियों ने सुरक्षा बलों द्वारा इस्तेमाल किए गए आंसू गैस के खाली गोले दिखाते हुए विरोध दर्ज कराया।
