INS Sudarshini Lokayan 26: Indian Naval Cell Training Ship INS Sudarini is once again going to introduce India’s maritime tradition and naval skills to the world. On January 20, the INS Sudarini will have to depart on the Historical Transosonic Cell Expedition "Lokyan 26". This journey will last about 10 months, in which the ship will arrive at 18 foreign ports of 13 countries, ranging a distance of more than 22,000 nautical mile.
This campaign is not only a training journey, but it is being considered a strong symbol of India’s maritime heritage, the spirit of Vasudh Kutumbakam and global maritime cooperation. INS Sudarshini Lokayan 26: What is Lokyan 26 campaign
Lokyan 26 A Head of Indian Navy Cell Training is the deployment, which aims to give young novices the real experience of traditional selling, long-distance marine navigation and open ion operations. During this campaign, INS Sudarini will reach several continents from the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and other marine routes.
According to the navy, this journey advances the tradition of India, where centuries ago Indian navigative sea routes exchanged business, culture and knowledge. (English)
Representation of India in International Events
The biggest attraction of this visit will be participation in two prestigious International Tall-ship events of INS Sudarini.
The first event is Escal Aka Seth (Escale à Sète), which is held at the Seth port of France. It is considered one of the world’s most famous selling and toll-ship festivals. INS Sudarini will present India’s traditional sailing culture and healing heritage on a global platform.
The second major event is Cell 250 (SAIL 250), which will be held in New York, US. The programme takes part of the historic and modern Tall Ships from around the world. Meanwhile, INS Sudarini will represent India’s maritime strength and discipline, representing the Indian Navy. (English)
More than 200 trainees will get the real experience of the sea
During the Lokyan 26 campaign Indian Navy More than 200 trainees of Indian Coast Guard will be onboard. All these trainees will undergo intensive cell training during this long journey.
They will be taught the nuances of life in the open sea, according to the traditional semanship, Ocean navigation, weather understanding, air and waves. Navy officials say such long sea trips strengthen the confidence, leadership capacity and teamwork of young sailors. (English)

This visit to INS Sudarini is not limited to training only. Training interactions, professional exchanges and maritime partnership activities will be held with the Navy of the respective countries where it will ship to the ports of the countries.

आईएनएस सुदर्शिनी दूसरा सेल ट्रेनिंग शिप
आईएनएस सुदर्शिनी भारतीय नौसेना का दूसरा सेल ट्रेनिंग शिप है। अब तक यह जहाज 1,40,000 नॉटिकल माइल से अधिक की दूरी तय कर चुका है। यह जहाज पहले भी कई अंतरराष्ट्रीय अभियानों और प्रशिक्षण यात्राओं का हिस्सा रह चुका है।
नौसेना के अनुसार, लोकायन 26 के जरिए आईएनएस सुदर्शिनी एक बार फिर भारत की समुद्री क्षमता, प्रोफेशनलिज्म और गुडविल को वैश्विक स्तर पर प्रदर्शित करेगी।
विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि ऐसे अभियान भारत की एक्ट ईस्ट पॉलिसी, नेबरहुड फर्स्ट और इंडो-पैसिफिक विजन को मजबूत करते हैं। यह दिखाता है कि भारत केवल सैन्य ताकत के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि एक जिम्मेदार समुद्री राष्ट्र के रूप में दुनिया से जुड़ना चाहता है। (INS Sudarshini Lokayan 26)
