INS Aravali: Indian Navy commissioned his new Naval Base INS Aravali in Gurugram on Friday. The Naval Chief Admiral Dinesh’s Tripathi Chief Guest was present at this historic ceremony, he announced to include this base in the Navy. The Naval Head was also given 50 member Guard of Honor during the ceremony.

Admiral Dinesh said INS Aravali will provide strong administrative and logistic support to the Indian Navy. He pointed out that as the size of the navy and its technical capacity is increasing, the need for such a modern base is also being felt. He said that this new base will not only be a centre of technology, but will be a hub of cooperation, which will lead to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mahasagar Vision’ (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Sectors-MAHASAGAR) by adding India and its partner countries.

The Navy chief said INS Aravali will strengthen India’s role as "Proferred Security Partner" in the Indian Ocean region. He congratulated the commanding officer of the base and the entire commissioning team and called him to play the navy values duty, honor and courage.

Significance of INS Aravali

INS अरावली का नाम गुरुग्राम में स्थित अरावली पर्वतमाला से प्रेरित है। यह बेस भारतीय नौसेना की इनफॉरमेशन और कम्यूनिकेशन युनिट को सपोर्ट करेगा। ये यूनिट्स भारत और नौसेना की कमांड, कंट्रोल और मैरीटाइम डोमेन अवेयरनेस (MDA) फ्रेमवर्क में अहम भूमिका निभाती हैं। इस बेस का आदर्श वाक्य है – ‘सामुद्रिकसुरक्षायाः सहयोगं’ यानी ‘सहयोग के जरिए समुद्री सुरक्षा। इसका उद्देश्य है नौसेना की यूनिट्स, MDA सेंटर्स और सहयोगी देशों के साथ मिलकर काम करना और समुद्री सुरक्षा को और मजबूत करना।

क्रेस्ट है बेहद खास

INS अरावली का क्रेस्ट भी खास है। इसमें अरावली श्रृंखला की पर्वत छवि है जो दृढ़ता और शक्ति का प्रतीक है। इसके साथ उगता हुआ सूरज दर्शाया गया है जो अनंत सतर्कता, ऊर्जा और आधुनिक तकनीकी क्षमताओं का प्रतीक है। यह क्रेस्ट नौसेना की उस प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है जिसके तहत वह भारत के समुद्री हितों की रक्षा के लिए हर पल तैयार रहती है।

हिंद महासागर और सामरिक महत्व

हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र दुनिया के सबसे व्यस्त समुद्री मार्गों में से एक है। यहां से दुनिया के लगभग एक-तिहाई बड़े कार्गो जहाज, आधे कंटेनर शिप और दो-तिहाई तेल के जहाज गुजरते हैं। इस कारण यह क्षेत्र व्यापार और सामरिक दृष्टि से बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। INS अरावली इसी रणनीतिक महत्व को ध्यान में रखते हुए तैयार किया गया है।

IFC-IOR: अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग का केंद्र

INS अरावली में मौजूद इंफॉर्मेशन फ्यूजन सेंटर – इंडियन ओशन रीजन (IFC-IOR) की स्थापना 2018 में की गई थी। इसका उद्देश्य हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में समुद्री सुरक्षा को मजबूत करना और मित्र देशों के बीच सूचनाओं का आदान-प्रदान करना है। यहां 25 देशों के 43 मल्टीनैशनल सेंटर से लाइव फीड प्राप्त होती है।

अब तक इस सेंटर ने 28 देशों के साथ 76 से अधिक अंतरराष्ट्रीय संपर्क स्थापित किए हैं। इसमें ऑस्ट्रेलिया, अमेरिका, फ्रांस, जापान और यूनाइटेड किंगडम जैसे देशों के इंटरनेशनल लायजन ऑफिसर्स (ILO) भी शामिल हैं।

IMAC की पैनी नजर

इंफॉर्मेशन मैनेजमेंट एंड एनालिसिस सेंटर (IMAC) को भारतीय नौसेना का नर्व सेंटर माना जाता है। यहां विशाल स्क्रीन पर समुद्र में हो रही हर गतिविधि को लाइव देखा जा सकता है। IMAC में आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस और बिग डेटा एनालिसिस तकनीक का इस्तेमाल होता है। यह कुछ ही सेकंड में बता देता है कि समुद्र में कितने जहाज हैं, वे कहां से आए हैं, कहां जा रहे हैं और उनकी गतिविधियां सामान्य हैं या संदिग्ध।

हर जहाज का रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबर, क्रू और कार्गो की जानकारी इस सिस्टम में उपलब्ध होती है। अगर कोई जहाज झूठा सिग्नल भेजकर स्पूफिंग करने की कोशिश करता है, तो IMAC उसे तुरंत पकड़ लेता है। भारत की 7,600 किलोमीटर लंबी समुद्री सीमा पर लगभग 90 तटीय रडार स्टेशन स्थापित किए गए हैं। इसके अलावा, 89 ऑटोमैटिक आइडेंटिफिकेशन सिस्टम समुद्र की लगातार निगरानी करते हैं। यहां तक कि 20 मीटर से छोटी नावों को भी ट्रैक करने के लिए ट्रांसपोडर सिस्टम लगाया गया है। देशभर की करीब 2.20 लाख मछली पकड़ने वाली नावें इस सिस्टम से जुड़ी हुई हैं।

लाइव रिपोर्टिंग और सुरक्षा नेटवर्क

INS अरावली से भारतीय नौसेना अपने चार प्रमुख जॉइंट ऑपरेशन सेंटर मुंबई, कोच्चि, विशाखापट्टनम और पोर्ट ब्लेयर से जुड़ी रहती है। यहां से हर जहाज और नाव की गतिविधियों पर लगातार नजर रखी जाती है। अब 20 मीटर से छोटी मछली पकड़ने वाली नावों के ट्रांसपोडर भी सैटेलाइट के जरिए डेटा भेजेंगे, जिसे IMAC में देखा जा सकेगा। इससे निगरानी क्षमता और भी बढ़ जाएगी।
