Indian Navy Satellite Launch: The Indian Space Research Organisation i.e. ISRO is going to launch its most heavy rocket ‘Bahubali’ on Sunday. This rocket will set up a specially designed communication satellite CMS-03 for Indian Navy in space. This satellite aims to connect the navy ships and bases to the Secure Communication Network, to further strengthen the maritime security and surveillance.

This projection will be done at 5:26 pm on Sunday evening from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. It will be the eighth mission of the launch vehicle mark-3 i.e. LVM-3 rocket. This heavy rocket of ISRO has been 100 per cent successful so far and in 2023 the same had delivered Chandrayaan-3 to Chand.

43.5m high This rocket is equal to about 15 storey building and weighs 642 tonnes, which is considered to be equal to the weight of about 150 Asian elephants. This time rocket is India’s largest communication satellite with its own satellite. Its weight is about 4,400 kg and it will be installed in the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit.

It will replace the new Satellite GSAT-7 or Rukmini Satellite, serving the Navy since 2013. The USP of the CMS-03 Satellite is that it works in several frequency bands and can simultaneously combine the naval resources spanning 2,000 kilometres from the coastal regions of India.

Every LVM-3 rocket used in this mission is about Rs 500 crore. The cryogenic engine developed in India will be used in Rocket during this 16-minute flight. According to scientists from ISRO, this technique is a great achievement towards India’s space self-reliance.
