Indian Navy CTF-154 Command: February 12, 2026. The Indian Navy has achieved great achievement with maritime security. Indian Navy first handled the command of the Combined Task Force (CTF) 154 at the Bahrain-based Manama-based Combined Marytime Forces (CMF) headquarters. The move is also being added to India’s growing global role, in the direction of strengthening the maritime cooperation between the Indian Ocean region and beyond.
This command transfer function was held at the Naval Support Activity Base in Bahrain. Celebration Chaired American Naval The Vice Admiral Kurt A. Indian Navy CTF-154 Command: What is Combined Marytime Forces?
CMF is considered the world’s largest multinational naval partnership. It includes 46-47 countries. Its headquarter is in Bahrain and aims to maintain safety, stability and law-based arrangements in international water areas. It works in the area of around 32 lakh square miles, where the world’s busiest marine business routes exist.

Five Task Forces work under the CMF. These include CTF150, 151, 152 and 153 mainly play operational responsibilities, such as Marine Safety, Preventing Pyracy and Monitoring in Red C or Arabian Sea. While CTF 154 focus on training and capacities building in particular. (Indian Navy CTF-154 Command)
What does CTF-154 do?
CTF-154 was established in May 2023. Its main work is to enhance the maritime security capacity of member countries. It organizes training programs in Middle East and surrounding areas. There are five major areas – The marine area is monitored, understanding of marine law, prevention on illegal activities, marine rescue and support campaign and leadership development.
This task force regularly Marytime Security enhancement training i.e. Mset programmes are organized. Also, the compass are also exercised like daily, morden radiance and adrenal radiance. Who are Commodore Millind Mokarshi?
Commodore Millind M Mokarshi, who handles the command of CTF-154 is an Indian Navy-experienced officer. He has been awarded the Shaurya Chakra. In the year 2015, he had secured out over 1600 people through his ship INS Sumitra during operation relief at the time of Yaman. He had received this honor for courage and leadership in difficult situations.
Now they will lead CTF-154 together with multinational staff. Their leadership is expected to make training programs more effective.
During the command transfer ceremony, Vice Admiral Rinshoff congratulated the Indian Navy to assume responsibility. Commodore Mokarshi said in his address that India is committed to regional security, cooperation and rule-based international order. Why is there for India?
This is the first time the Indian Navy has handled the command of any task force of the CMF. Earlier this responsibility has been to countries such as America, Jordan, Egypt, Sri Lanka and Italy. India has an opportunity to find that the international community relies on Indian Navy’s professional capacities and experience.
