Veer Gatha 5.0: This year the Republic Day celebration has made a new record "Vir Gatha 5.0". This time, around 1.92 crore students participated in Veer Gatha. This is the biggest partnership so far, making it clear that the interest of knowing the patriotism, shourya and military traditions between students is constantly increasing.
Veer Gatha 5.0: 91 schools from 18 countries to 28,005 students sent entries
Ministry of Defence And under the joint initiative of the Ministry of Education, the project was started on September 8, 2025 and participated by students from around 1.90 lakh schools. The first-time foreign-based CBSE-affiliated schools also attended. A total of 18 countries from 91 schools, 28,005 students sent their entries. (Veer Gatha 5.0)
The biggest feature of Veer Gatha 5.0 was that it included short video format this time. The students were inspired to present India’s strategic tradition, military history, and heroism stories through videography, anchoring, reporting, and storytelling. (Veer Gatha 5.0)
Under this project, students were encouraged to work on great warriors and historical conflicts of India. The King of Kaling Kharvel, Prithraj Chauhan, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Warrior and Tribal of 1857 Freedom Sangram Movements The heroes like the subject were included. Activities at school level were completed by 10 November 2025. After this, the district and state level was evaluated. Finally 4,020 entries were sent to the national level, 100 of which students were selected as super-100 winners. These include 25 students from class 3 to 5, 25 students from class 6 to 8 and 50 students from class 9 to 12. (Veer Gatha 5.0)
These 100 super-winners will be awarded by Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education in New Delhi. Every winner will be given a cash amount of Rs 10,000. Also, these students are held on duty paths Republic Day The parade 2026 will receive a special invitation to see where they will be present as a special guest. (Veer Gatha 5.0)
Also the winners will be selected at state and UT level. Winners will be awarded locally in different categories from every State and Union Territories, enabling the scope and wider of this initiative. (Veer Gatha 5.0)
Veer Gatha Project was started in 2021 under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. From then to now, it has evolved into a campaign that connects students to the stories of the country’s heroes and strengthens the sense of civil responsibility and national love. (Veer Gatha 5.0)
