BrahMos Plants: India has been planning to include BrahMos missiles over the years to come. In the coming two years, the new Brahmaos supersonic cruise missiles with a range of 800 kilometres will be included in the Indian armed forces. The production of ‘Astra Mark-2’ air-to-air missiles with a range of 200 kilometres will also begin by 2026-27.

800km Range Trial of Brahmaos

According to the formulas, the trial of 800 km range Brahmaos is running. It also has a modified Ramjet engine and multiple technical upgrades. These missiles are being developed as a traditional (non-nuclear) version. The target is that this missile will be prepared for a thorough deployment by the end of 2027.

At this time, Indian Navy and Air Force have 450 km range of Brahmos missiles that fly from the speed of Mac 2.8 (about three times at the speed of the air). These missiles were used for precise attacks on terrorist bases within the border of Pakistan during operation shift in May 2025. The world saw the power of Brahmos in operation syntre how Brahmos has become the most trusted and deadly system in the traditional arms of India.

The development of a missile with a range of 800 km has been completed as per the defence sources. Now there are just a few more trials to test whether the Internal Navigation System and External Satellite Navigation are reliable.
