BRO Road Projects Bikaner: 125 BRO projects worth Rs. 5 thousand crore have also been availed by Bikaner. On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 125 important road projects prepared by BRO through virtual medium from Ladakh. These projects designed by spending about Rs 4,796 crore include a number of important roads of Bikaner, Bajju and nearby remote areas, which will give new directions to both border security and local development.
The BRO’s project team has completed the work between the desert heat, the swamp ground and the hard paths. Birdwal-Puggal-Bjju Road was the most important in the projects that were launched. This road is now upgraded as per National Highway Standard, about 49 km long. This will make it easier for locals to visit and the movement of the army, logistic support and operational preparation will also be manifold stronger.

In addition, remote villages have been connected with a strong network by upgrading the roads such as Devarsar-Mauvali Thai (8km), Vaksar-Mwasari (32.5km) and Bhewala Diversion-AD Toba-Lundet (115km.). The construction of these roads will communicate new energy into mutual contacts, business activities and social mobility in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Sriganganagar and Banskanth district of Gujarat.
In particular Vaksar-Mwassari Road, which has been completed by the headquarters 45 border road force at a cost of Rs 303.59 crore, is being a new door to inter-state contact between Rajasthan-Gujarat. This road passes through Daldali and difficult grounds, which is often submerged when the luni river grows in the rainy days. It is being considered a new connectivity corridor between Rajasthan and Gujarat. This way was often stopped by filling water in rainy, but now it will become a big resort for the army and the common people.
These roads will increase employment, business and travel facilities in the villages of Bjju and surroundings. These roads will prove to be a strong means of fast deployment and safe supply chain for the Army. The Chief Engineer Suresh Gupta of the Goc Major General lamp Sivaran and Project Chetak of the Bikaner Ranbakura Division was also present in the program and appreciated the functions of the BRO.
